Xiaomi has officially released the Xiaomi Civi 2 in China after teasing it for the past few days. The company’s most recent lifestyle smartphone features a new look and improved specifications. Follow For More Updates: newsyorbits on the official website or Google news
It is the first Android phone with a pill-shaped cutout at the top center of the display for the selfie cameras. Consequently, its front resembles that of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Xiaomi Civi 2 Design & looks
Design-wise, the Xiaomi Civi 2 is comparable to the Xiaomi 12 series and the Redmi K50 series. In other words, it has a rectangular island on the back that houses the cameras and an LED flashlight in a triangular configuration that is divided by lines.
However, its front is distinctive as it features a pill-shaped selfie camera cutout in the display’s upper center. Like its predecessor, it features a slim and lightweight design.
The Civi 2 has a thickness of 7.23mm and weighs 171.8g. It is available in three conventional hues, including black, pink, and blue. In addition, it is available in a special Hello Kitty edition with white paint and unique motifs.
Xiaomi Civi 2 Specifications & Features
The Xiaomi Civi 2 features a 6.55-inch curved OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color depth. The display offers a maximum brightness of 800 nits, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, and a PWM dimming frequency of 1920 Hz.
The panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 features a fingerprint sensor beneath it at the bottom and a pill-shaped opening at the top. It can play HDR material (Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+) and covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset coupled with LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a liquid cooling system made of stainless VC. It boots Android 12 based MIUI 13
It sports a triple camera configuration on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 20MP Sony IMX376K ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M1 macro camera. The primary feature of the smartphone is its front-facing camera. Inside inside the pill are two 32MP cameras. The primary sensor allows autofocus, whereas the secondary sensor has an ultra-wide 100° lens.
These two front-facing cameras are joined by four LED lamps with variable color temperatures. Xiaomi has also integrated numerous camera features into the software in order to take advantage of the hardware. The handset features dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity options. It also includes dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos, a linear vibration motor, an infrared sensor, a 4,500mAh battery, and 67W fast-wired charging capabilities.

The device may debut as the Xiaomi 12 Lite NE in intern ational regions. Today at 3:00 p.m. CST, the Xiaomi Civi 2 will be available for the following prices in China. In contrast to the original Civi and Civi 1S, Xiaomi is yet to announce that the Civi 2 will be available outside of mainland China.
