Remember how I said last week that it feels like we’re reaching an emotional turning point in The Ring of Thrones, where our heroes have been pushed to their limits in true Lord of the Rings style and there’s a lot to look forward
The last part of Ring of Power is about putting our heroes through tough times and pushing them to come out of them stronger. This week’s ominous title, “Udûn,” which means “hell” in Sindarin and is the elven name for a small land of shadows, is about how our heroes are like they’re in a furnace.
Rings of power Episode 6 spoilers
Forged as damn loves it, but sometimes things go very wrong for them. Sorry, people of Ring of Power! In the Lord of the Rings prequels, bad things happen for a long time before they start to get better. You’re not all named after Tolkien characters. shooting. Big deal.
Much of The Ring of Power is about Galadriel desperately trying to get Nmenor’s allies together to fight the growing evil in the South while waiting for the inevitable conflict. “Udûn” is about to realize this was always going to happen.
It’s a series of great moves, the best ones the show has done so far. Most of the time, it’s from The Lord of the Rings. It’s a bit like Helm’s Deep in The Ring of Power, as Adar’s forces, now helped by humans who have abandoned their fellow Southlanders, get ready to attack the remaining refugees in Bronwyn, Arondir, and East Iris.
But in a twist that happened closer to the ring, Arondir drove Ostirith’s watchtower down, which knocked out part of Adar’s army, while the fugitives sneaked back to defend their village instead of An unknown elf watchtower. It’s like watching the Rohans fight the Uruk-hai.
It’s a battle between unknown soldiers defending their home country against an overwhelming, well-armed enemy threat, and for the most part, they win. The villagers used their inn as a meeting place for those who couldn’t fight and as a rallying point for the volunteer soldiers who fought with Bronwyn and Alondra. Bronwyn and Alondir made a heroic effort, and the little men of Middle-earth faced them and beat them.
