Cassie Jo Stoddart was in high school and studying when she died. She was only a teen. Cassie was killed brutally by her classmates or friends at her aunt’s house. This happened in 2006 when both the killers and the victims were teenagers.
The case got the attention of the whole country. Cassie was a bright and nice student, but soon after her boyfriend broke up, she was brutally killed and stabbed many times. The only reason why the killing happened was a sad one.
Cassie was a 16-year-old girl from the US county of Bannock. She tried to go to Pocatello High School, but she was killed when she was a teenager. Cassie was only 16 years old when her classmates or friends killed him. Cassie liked to spend her free time at her aunt and uncle’s house and take care of her aunt’s pets.
Cassie was also taking care of her aunt’s pets on the day of the accident. Her boyfriend feels terrible that he left her behind and remembers that she told him Cassie was a young, pretty girl who was also bright and intelligent and had a great smile.
This happened on September 22, 2006, when Cassie was at her aunt’s house. She also cared for her aunt’s three cats and two dogs. The weekend was over, so her aunt and uncle went out, leaving Cassie alone at her aunt’s house.

In Bannock County, near Whispering cliffs drive, her aunt’s house was. The problem began when her boyfriend, Matt, visited her at her aunt’s house.
Cassie and her boyfriend were sitting together when Brian Draper and Torey Adamcik, two of Matt’s friends, came over. Adam and Brian were going to the movie, so they left early. They arrived at 6, watched the film with Cassie and Matt, and then left at 8.
Brian and Torey left the basement door open when they left the house and walked around it. This made it easier for the thieves to get in. After 10 pm, two friends entered the house while Cassie and Matt were watching TV together.
They knocked on the door and even turned off the lights to scare the couple, but they didn’t get scared. They turned the lights back on. Around 10:30 pm, her mother picked up Matt, and that’s when they turned off the lights again and again, but Cassie wasn’t scared. They got close and stabbed the girl several times, causing her to die from several fatal wounds.
Draper had a knife-like tool when they stabbed Cassie, and Adamic had a hunting knife. Matt says that being with her made her feel better and that Cassie didn’t feel scared when she was with her. But when he left, this terrible thing happened. There were 30 more stabbings, and 12 of them were fatal.
When asked, the two said that they were killed because the movie Scream made them want to. They also said it openly. Both were found guilty in 2007. Draper was found guilty in April, and Adamick was found guilty in June. Both of them got 30 years in prison. They are currently in an Idaho State prison, and Adamic’s request to lease was turned down in 2019.
