Vivo X90 Series may also come with a MediaTek Dimensity SoC version In April, Vivo showed off the X80 series, and now it’s time to show off the X90 series. There are just now more rumors about Vivo’s next flagship series. Recent rumors say that the lineup will have three phones: the Vivo X90, the X90 Pro, and the X90 Pro Plus. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which hasn’t been announced yet, is thought to be inside the phones. A well-known leaker, on the other hand, says that the series may also come with the successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. Here’s what’s going on.
A tip from Digital Chat Station says that the Vivo X90 series may have two CPU options: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the next-generation Dimensity 9000 SoC. He said that the Dimensity chipset has a higher Antutu score than what Qualcomm has to offer.
If this is true, it’s great news for people who prefer MediaTek’s chipsets to Qualcomm’s. Also, the performance of recent Dimensity processors has been encouraging. For example, when AnTuTu’s results were sorted by Overall score, Dimensity 9000 came in first, beating Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 by almost 15%.
Reports from the past say that the Vivo X90 Pro+, which will be the most expensive model in the line, will have a very good camera. It may have a 1-inch main camera and a telephoto sensor with 64 megapixels and 5x optical zoom.
The phone is also said to have a Samsung E6 AMOLED screen, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. It will probably be run by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, but we might also see a version with a Dimensity CPU.
People say that the Vivo X90 Pro+ could come out as early as December 2022. Even though Vivo hasn’t said anything about the details of the upcoming phone yet. We hope to find out more in the days to come.
