There has been uproar over pictures showing four people torturing and s*xu@lly abusing a five-year-old girl at her house in the Venezuelan city of Barquisimeto, Lara state. Public opinion swiftly denounced the incident and demanded a rapid response from the government.
Prosecutor Tarek William Saab said he will take over the case and launch a preliminary investigation into the four ladies and one guy who had to gather the necessary evidence after receiving pressure from social media users.
The perpetrator’s home, La Sábila, Mz. O5, room 19, was discovered to have been entirely destroyed, according to Commissioner Douglas Rico. It found out that the inspection crew visited the incident’s original family before moving on to another one. Both properties belonged to Yelitza Páez, also known as Chicho, the victim’s grandmother, and the home was vacant.
According to Attorney General Tarek William Saab, the suspects, who are still at large, will be charged with culpable homicide, serious bodily harm, child sexual abuse, and criminal association. They will be seeking a sentence of 30 years in prison for these offenses. He emphasized that the parents of the kid, who “left him at the mercy of these hired criminals,” would also face the consequences.
On the other side, he claimed online that the raid had taken place in the empty home where the youngster had been abused. The defendants are presumably no longer in Venezuela because Interpol has issued a red notice to arrest them.
Aldimar Alina Lucena Páez (25 years old) and Katherin Solcari Lucena Páez (30 years old), who would be their aunts, were named as the defendants. She will become the grandmother of Yelitza Elena Páez, a 54-year-old attacker who also took part in the attack. The two other people’s identities are still unknown.

There is currently no information available regarding the whereabouts or condition of children under the age of five, according to the information provided by the ongoing inquiry.
Prosecutor Saab claims that the Public Ministry received 632 reports for pedophilia cases between January 1 and August 15, 2022. Most records are found in the Zulia, Tchira, Carabobo, Caracas, and Miranda regions.
