Hell of a Summer now has its first picture. The horror comedy is Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk’s first time at the helm of a movie. This month, it will also be shown at the European Film Market in Berlin.
The plot of Hell of Summer is not known yet. Wolfhard’s role in the horror comedy was announced last July, but since then, not much has been said about it. Bryk and Wolfhard are set to star in the movie, as well as write and direct it. Both Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Wolfhard’s most recent movie, When You Finish Saving the World, had them in them.
Variety says that Altitude Film Sales will be in charge of international sales for the movie Hell of a Summer, which is still in pre-production. The film will also be shown at the European Film Market, which is held in Berlin. The report also showed the project for the first time. In the first-look photo, Bryk and Wolfhard’s characters are just holding flashlights and staring in shock at something off-screen.
Some other rising stars are also in the cast of “Hell of a Summer.” Along with Wolfhard, Bryk, Jay Van Hoy, Michael Costigan, and Jason Bateman, Fred Hechinger, who is known for his work on Butcher’s Crossing, The White Lotus, and the Fear Street movies, is set to star in and produce the movie. Also set to star are D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (Reservation Dogs), Abby Quinn (Mad About You), and Pardis Saremi (Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem).

After Stranger Things, Wolfhard has made a big step with Hell of a Summer. Wolfhard was known for his work in front of the camera before he started directing. This could be a sign that his career will change in the future. Wolfhard, for his part, has shown that he’s ready to move on from Stranger Things when it ends airing, which will be later this year or early next year. He has also shown recently that he is strong. Wolfhard has devoted himself to film and TV because he loves it, even though the constant attention on him gives him panic attacks.
His work on Stranger Things probably helped him a lot when he was making Hell of a Summer. Even though horror is the main focus of the series, there are also parts that are funny, mysterious, and from other genres. After years of seeing the Duffer Brothers run the show, Wolfhard will probably enjoy the movie.
