Since 2005, Franci Swanepoel has been best known for playing Toeks Joubert on the M-Net soap opera Binneland previously known as Binnelanders and Binneland Sub Judice.
Franci was born in Johannesburg and studied at Hoerskool Linden. She grew up in the entertainment business. Since she was five, she has been in radio plays, like Leon van Nierop’s Stralerjakkers.
In 1980, she had the lead role in Stephen Powell’s Mtunzini Spa, which was the start of her TV career.

After that, PG du Plessis played Gesie in Kooperasories. He also had parts in Jan Scholtz’s Desert Flower and Somebody to Love.
After she graduated from Stellenbosch University’s acting program, she became a presenter. She read the news on kykNET and ran shows like Swerftyd and Fiesta – which she also produces.
