Power Rangers Star Jason David frank dead at 49 – The Green Ranger, Tommy Oliver, was cast as Frank. There will be 14 episodes in the role. He was reintroduced as the White Ranger and the new team commander because of the character’s popularity.
Prior to being called back to Power Rangers, Frank was initially slated to play the lead character Adam Steele in VR Troopers (formerly known as “Cybertron”) and directed the pilot episode. Frank and Brad Hawkins claim that the initial plan for Hawkins’ part was for him to take over for Tommy Oliver as the White Ranger in Power Rangers.
Frank was then brought back, and Tommy Oliver took on the White Ranger role due to Tommy Oliver’s popularity among Rangers supporters. For VR Troopers, Hawkins will take over. The persona once known as Adam Steele is now Ryan Steele.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers join the Power Rangers Zeo after three seasons. The alteration is a part of the yearly Ranger suit updates to correspond with the annual Super Sentai series updates. Frank’s persona evolved into the Red Zeo Ranger.
The following year, his character in Power Rangers Turbo became the first Red Turbo Ranger. Frank and teammates Jonny Jan Bosch, Nakia Burris, and Catherine Sutherland decided to quit halfway through the season and were replaced.
Frank left the show in 1997 but made a comeback in 2002 as the Red Zeo Ranger for the Power Rangers Wild Force tenth anniversary special “Forever Red,” which brought back 10 former Red Rangers. He was thus reunited with Austin St. John.
In 2004’s Power Rangers Dino Thunder, he later made a comeback as the Black Dino Ranger. Frank always wore long sleeves to cover the tattoos on his arms while he was the Black Dino Ranger.

Forever Red from Red Dead Redemption falls under the same category. For Douglas Sloan, being the Black Dino Ranger has been a blessing. He jokingly remarked that Disney and Saban “are the same, they’re cheap,” but he was thrilled by the Dino Thunder production team.
In the season finale of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Frank returns as Tommy Oliver, this time portraying the Green Ranger. Frank expressed interest in creating a standalone series or feature film for the Green Ranger after meeting Stan Lee at a comics convention.
Alongside Power Rangers actor Amy Amy Jo Johnson, Frank appeared in the 2017 movie “Power Rangers” as a resident of Angel Grove. He plays Tommy again in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel Episode 10, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Power Rangers in 2018. Frank declared his departure from the team in 2022.
