Nintendo Dec. 20, 2022 PlayStation 4 games
Even if December is not as jam-packed as November, Nintendo is bringing 2022 to a close with a respectable assortment of games. The major Switch exclusive for December 2022 is Dragon Quest Treasures. Erik and his sister Mia play the lead characters in the DQ11 spin-off as they search for hidden treasures on the enigmatic Draconia. Treasures is an action role-playing game with a strong emphasis on exploration rather than turn-based combat.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, a remaster of the PSP release, is also available for JRPG fans to purchase. Crisis Core, a precursor to Final Fantasy 7, features SOLDIER member Zack. Resident Evil 7 from Capcom will be available on the Switch, although the system will only support the cloud version. In December, Nintendo’s system will receive the cloud-based expansion Resident Evil Village: Winters Expansion.
Games for the Nintendo Switch in January 2023
The Nintendo Switch will try to make a good start to 2023, and a few big games have already been announced for January. Fire Emblem Engage is a big deal when it comes to console-only games. Emblem Rings, which seem to work like summons, will be a new way to play in the next mainline game in the tactical JRPG series.
Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are both good choices for JRPG fans who like turn-based battles. Both of these games are well-known and well-liked classics from the PS2 and PSP eras. Persona has dungeon crawling and social sim elements that fit right into the stories of the games.
The Nintendo Switch will get a 3D platformer in January 2023 when SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake comes out.

There are already plans for a few big releases in February 2023. Most of the games that have been announced for the Switch are made by third parties, but Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is not one of them. Return to Dreamland is a remake of a Wii game from 2011. It has Kirby’s classic 2D platformer gameplay, but the focus is on playing with other people.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a rhythm game for fans of Final Fantasy that celebrates the music from the series’ many years. Octopath Traveler 2 is something that Square Enix fans who want a traditional JRPG should keep an eye out for. In the sequel, there will be more than one main character whose story can be played.
Digimon World: Next Order is finally coming to Nintendo’s hybrid system. It’s a good choice for people who want to raise monsters instead of collect them.
There are a lot of big Switch games in development, but we don’t know when they will come out.
2023 and beyond are just starting to take shape, and many games for the Switch have been announced but don’t have a set release date. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be the best game for Nintendo’s hybrid system to come out in the first half of the year. The much-anticipated sequel looks like it will be a fun expansion of the ideas in Breath of the Wild.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will definitely come out on Switch at some point. Metroid Prime 4 and Pikmin 4 are games that Nintendo fans have been waiting a long time for. Hopefully, they will be available on the Switch when the time is right. A lot of big-name games are already planned to come out for the Switch in the future. We hope to hear soon when these Switch games will be out. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is another project to keep an eye on, especially if you like games like XCOM 2
