Kymberly Herrin, who used to be a model and an actress, died at the age of 65. A newspaper article from October 28 in Santa Barbara, California, said that Herrin had died peacefully in her hometown.
Errin Herrin’s death is still a mystery. But Ramirez wrote on Facebook on Oct. 28 that her aunt had died. Newsweek says that in this post, Ramirez shared a picture of Herrin on the beach with her late sisters.
Ramirez wrote next to the picture, “I love Aunt Kymberly Herrin. They’re all together now.” Herrin’s career as a model was featured on the front of more than a dozen magazines. She went to Santa Barbara High School and got her diploma in 1975.
Entertainment Weekly says that in March 1981, Herrin was named “Playmate of the Month” in Playboy. She posed for FIT magazine as a model in a few fitness clothes and swimwear ads.
EW says that Herrin was a Playboy Playmate in the 1987 movie Beverly Hills Cop II. She was also an actress in the early 1980s, starting around 1982. Ghostbusters emerged in 1984 and was one of Herrin’s most well-known roles.
In an interview with Polygon in October 2021, Dan Aykroyd said he had worked with Herrin on one of his projects. Aykroyd says that the actress played a ghost in a scene with Ray Stantz where they were close.
Aykroyd said at the time, “I remember that role was played by Kym Herrin.” She went out with Playboys. She showed up as the ghost. I wish the movie had given them more time.

With the assistance of an ensemble cast that includes Kymberly Herrin, Ghostbusters launched a multimedia brand consisting of films, television series, video games, and merchandising. Ghostbusters is a film directed by Ivan Reitman and written by co-stars Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis about a gang of parapsychologists who launch a company catching ghosts for New York City citizens.

Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts, and Ernie Hudson gave notable performances in Ghostbusters, a film that was ahead of its time in terms of humor and visual effects.
When it came out in the summer of 1984, Ghostbusters did very well at the box office. The movie made over $295 million on a budget of about $30 million, which made it the highest-grossing comedy up to that point and the second-highest-grossing movie of that year.
Ghostbusters was liked by both critics and audiences when it came out. Rotten Tomatoes currently ranks it as “Certified Fresh,” with a score of 97% on its Tomatometer based on 77 reviews from critics and an “Audience Score” of 88% based on over 250,000 verified ratings from users of the site.
After Ghostbusters made a lot of money at the box office, the same actors from the first movie made a sequel in 1989. It made over $215 million at the box office on a $40 million budget, so it was almost as successful as the first movie. Since the 1980s, there have been several other sequels, including a Ghostbusters reboot starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, which came out in 2016.
Last year, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, starring Paul Rudd and directed by Ivan Reitman’s son Jason, was added to the growing franchise. It was the first movie in the series since Ghostbusters II to have Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver in the same cast.
