Will the Justice Society replace the Justice League in the DC Extended Universe, as it was first introduced in Black Adam?

Black Adam has introduced the Justice Society of America to the DC Extended Universe, suggesting that the new superhero team may replace the more popular Justice League. In Black Adam, the team consists of Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher – all familiar names, but not as well-known as Batman and Superman of the Justice League. While the Justice Society may not be as popular as the Justice League, the DCEU fates of the individual Justice League actors are uncertain, indicating that Black Adam’s new band might become the major group of superheroes for the series.

Hawkman recruits the other three Justice Society members in Black Adam after being assigned by Task Force X leader Amanda Waller to take down Black Adam. Although the Justice Society has never been seen in the DCEU, it is indicated that they have been operating in the background for some time.

Given that they are assigned a mission by Amanda Waller, it is likely that the team works for the government to eliminate new and dangerous metahumans, much as the characters in The Suicide Squad. It might be unexpected, but the DCEU may be preparing the Justice Society to replace the Justice League. Here’s how the Justice Society differs from the Justice League, what happens to them in the comics, and why this would occur.

Although the titles may sound similar, the Justice Society and the Justice League are entirely separate entities in the DCEU. In the current DCEU chronology, the Justice League did not emerge until Steppenwolf invaded Earth in Justice League, at which point Batman recruited Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman, and eventually Superman to create the team. While the Justice League has made cameo cameos in projects such as Peacemaker, Justice League remains the team’s only tale in the DCEU, indicating that the group has a great deal of growth potential.

Is The Justice Society Replacing The DCEU's Justice League?

Given that DC Comics has a multitude of canons and the universes have been reset several times, it is somewhat difficult to determine precisely what happens to the Justice Society. The Justice Society is typically portrayed as a predecessor to the Justice League, with the Society operating during the Golden Age of comics and the League establishing during the Silver Age.

Many members of the Justice League, including Batman, Superman, and other powerful heroes, have been members of the Justice Society. In the timeline of DC Rebirth, the Justice Society of America was at its peak around 1943, when it fought in World War II. While the Justice Society still exists in DC Comics, it has taken a second seat to teams like as the Justice League, serving as a reserve team of heroes who are ready to assist whenever the need arises.

Although the Justice League is a household name, the confusion between Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League, as well as the troubles many of the film’s performers have had with Warner Bros., make it unlikely that a Justice League sequel will ever be produced. Ray Fisher’s issues with Warner Bros. have been so obvious that he will likely never return to the DC Extended Universe.

Due to Ezra Miller’s multiple controversies, it is possible that he will not return to The Flash following its premiere. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill have exhibited reluctance to feature in DCEU films, although their appearances in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Black Adam demonstrate that they are not opposed to returning. However, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman both appear content in their current roles, indicating that they would certainly return if a sequel ever materialized.

Even while Justice League 2 is more likely than ever before, it would still be extremely difficult to pull together. Given that DC’s previous solo films, like as Shazam! and The Batman, have received greater critical acclaim, they may not even have the motivation to create another large-scale team-up film.

If the business ever chose to go to the trouble again, though, they would likely produce another Justice League film instead of one based on the somewhat less popular Justice Society. Justice League 2 is more likely than a film based on Black Adam’s Justice Society, notwithstanding its improbability.
