Death Stranding 2 Hideo Kojima recently talked about how will be different from the first game, at least in a broad sense. The first Death Stranding game is very different from other games because it combines action and package delivery. Even though Kojima’s story-telling style is very cinematic and Norman Reedus and other actors are also coming back, it hasn’t been clear how different Death Stranding 2 will be. Now, Kojima is giving signs that things will change. Follow For More Updates newsyorbits.com
The biggest news about was that the main character, Sam, will be back for the sequel. This was announced at The Game Awards 2022. That’s not a spoiler for the first Death Stranding.
Death Stranding 2 is Not a “Regular” Sequel,
Instead, it shows the strange continuity of the series, the strange story and setting of and how hard it was to get a big actor like Norman Reedus to come back. Still, it’s clear that Sam, or at least a version of Sam, will be in Death Stranding 2.
Kojima is asked about Sam’s role in Death Stranding 2 on his own podcast, Brain Structure. Kojima uses this topic as a segue to talk about how Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2 are related to each other in a bigger way.
Kojima says, “I made the game both old and new so that people who didn’t play the first one would still like it.” In the context given, this probably means that the things Sam goes through in Death Stranding won’t have much of an effect on the story of.
Kojima says more about how and fit together than just that, though. Kojima talks about how much technology has changed in the last three years when he talks about Death Stranding 2.
Kojima says that Kojima Productions has been “really challenging” itself because ideas that were once “impossible” are now possible. Kojima says that is “not just a regular sequel in that way” because of this.
Because Kojima likes to be vague, it’s hard to guess anything about Stranding 2. Even if Death Stranding 2 was a “regular” sequel, it would probably be very different, just like the Metal Gear Solid games. Kojima likes to change things, adapt to new technology, and tell stories that aren’t told anywhere else.

There probably won’t be more concrete information about Death Stranding 2 for a while. Hideo Kojima is working on more than just Death Stranding 2 right now.
When Kojima is ready to talk more about the sequel, fans shouldn’t be surprised if it’s not what anyone expected. But, hopefully, players will be able to pick it up and play it even if they didn’t play the first Death Stranding. Follow For More Updates On Twitter
