Apple a tech giant based in Cupertino, is rumoured to be working on plans to release its mixed-reality headset in the near future. A new report claims that the headset would have iris scanning technology, which can be used to verify purchases and log into accounts.
In a manner analogous to Face ID and Touch ID, prospective users would be able to easily log into their accounts and make purchases by scanning their irises, according to a report that is paywalled on The Information’s website.
In contrast to Meta’s Quest Pro headset, Apple’s upcoming headset will have 14 cameras that can record motion and precisely portray real-world actions on digital avatars. Additionally, it seems that the device is both slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Quest Pro, which weighed 722 grammes.
The user of the mixed reality headset will be able to see phenomena that are normally invisible, such as a gas leak or a laser security system. This will be possible since the headset combines both virtual and augmented realities.

The headgear would make use of additional signals in order to show you things that are not visible to the naked eye. According to the patent application that was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (via Patently Apple), the Apple headset’s extended reality environments will provide users with the ability to see a visual representation of invisible elements that are present in the physical environment.
Users of the mixed reality headset will be able to see phenomena such as a gas leak or a laser security system, but they will also be able to see sound waves while tuning their musical instrument, determine the correct position for the router by seeing Wi-Fi signals, check the airflow from an HVAC system, and check the temperatures of physical objects, fluids, or gases.
Reportedly, the Apple mixed reality headset will serve as a number of different things in addition to its primary function, including a head-mountable system, a pair of contact lenses, headphones, speakers, speaker arrays, an input system with a handheld controller, a desktop computer or laptop, a heads-up display, a vehicle windshield, and a projection-based system. All of these functions will be supported by a single device.
Apple has also registered trademarks for a few names that have been speculated to be associated with the future headgear. Also read: the Apple mixed reality headset might allow you see things that are unseen, such as laser security or gas leaks.
Apple contain titles
According to a report from Bloomberg, the latest trademark application that Apple has submitted contains the titles “Reality One,” “Reality Pro,” and “Reality Processor. Despite the fact that these titles do not always pertain to the headset, they demonstrate that Apple is making progress.

The term “Reality” in particular is starting to define the headset, especially in light of the fact that Apple was working on what is now known as realityOS in 2017 and launched a developer framework called “RealityKit” in 2019. More updates newsyorbit.com
