However, according to the most recent information, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the company has apparently scrapped its intentions to unveil the iPhone SE 4, which was a recent development.
In a post on Medium, Kuo revealed that Apple has informed its supply chain partners that productions and shipment plans for the 2024 iPhone SE have not been delayed but rather cancelled.

Kuo’s claims are based on the fact that Apple has communicated this information to its partners.
This suggests that Apple is about to discontinue production of the iPhone SE product line, which includes the most cheap models in the iPhone product portfolio. Because there was a four-year gap between the release of the first and second generations of the iPhone SE, it is impossible to predict whether Apple will bring back the iPhone SE at some point in the future.
According to reports, Apple was working on developing its own proprietary baseband chips. For years, the rumour mill has been suggesting that it is just around the corner or very close at hand. According to Kuo, the iPhone SE 4 was expected to serve as the test device for Apple’s baseband chip in the event that something goes wrong.

In the year 2024, had all gone according to plan, the same chip would have been included in the iPhone 16 series. Apple’s intentions to experiment with its own unique in-house modem chips have been altered as the iPhone SE 4’s production has been put in jeopardy and it is now possible that the product may be cancelled.
There are worries regarding whether or not it will be on par with the chipsets produced by Qualcomm.
It would appear that the American chipmaker will benefit the most from the possibility that the iPhone SE 4 will not be produced. Qualcomm sees Apple as a big source of revenue driver and revenue.
It appears as though the Cupertino-based technology giant will continue to work with the semiconductor manufacturer for the iPhone 16 series as well as for the foreseeable future (at least through 2025). For more updates newsyorbit.com
